IRFU Charitable Trust 2026 Rugby Ball in association with Vodafone Foundation
At the heart of the evening were two extraordinary men, our seriously injured players Brendan Glynn and Tommie Kyne. Brendan was joined by his wife Deirdre, and Tommie by his wife Teresa – their presence a testament to the strength and resilience of the families at the core of our rugby community.
The rugby community, caring and coming together for a great cause
Niall McCool, seriously injured in 1999 aged 21 playing for City of Armagh RFC, was the guest of honour along with his daughter Grace at the IRFU Charitable Trust 2025 Rugby Lunch kindly sponsored by Aon. Just over 300 guests made their way to the InterContinental Hotel

FRIENDS of the IRFU Charitable Trust
People are who the Charitable Trust is all about.
Those who have sacrificed so much for the game we love – our seriously injured players, are at the heart of everything we do.
But without the kindness and on-going help of our ambassadors and our volunteers, we would not be able to support our injured players and make a real difference in their lives and their families lives.
We also rely heavily on our management team to ensure the Trust is looked after in the best way possible for the betterment of our injured players, including our support team; all of which is overseen by the committee and trustees.
