The Longest Try – from the Aviva to Thomond Park in aid of seriously injured rugby players.

4 rugby friends, 3 boats, 10 rugby clubs, 6 counties, 260 km in 11 days – all in support of those who have been seriously injured playing the game they love.

Kicking off at the Aviva Stadium on Saturday 11th June, with the help of a few Irish rugby greats, the four friends – Risteard Mulcahy, Bryan McShane, Joe Taylor and Ty Storlie – will walk from the Aviva to launch their boats in the Grand Canal, to begin their journey through the waterways of Ireland.  Reaching Thomond Park on Wednesday 22nd June.

Visiting ten rugby clubs on the way, including: Lansdowne FC, Guinness Rugby Club, Edenderry RFC, Naas RC, Tullamore RC, Portumna RC, Nenagh Ormond RC, Scariff RC, Ballina/Killaloe RFC and Shannon RFC …  not to mention a few rugby pubs on the way as well!
