We are so very delighted to announce that the Ireland’s Call Six Nations Gala Ball is coming back to the Shelbourne Hotel on Saturday 28th January 2023 – just before the kickoff of the 2023 Guinness Six Nations. This will be the fourth Ireland’s Call Six Nations Ball and it will be three long years since the last one due to that which shall not be mentioned here!
Guests will once again get to experience the splendor of the five star Shelbourne Ball Room with the Black Tie event kicking off with a drinks reception, followed by a gala dinner, fine wine and entertainment – including music from the fabulous ‘The Controversial All Stars’. Hosted by Matt Cooper, and given that we will be in a Rugby World Cup year, we will have very special guests from the world of rugby. Previous guests, as you will see from our short video below of previous years, included Joe Schmidt and current Ireland Head Coach Andy Farrell.
Once again the Ball is in aid of those who have been seriously injured playing the game we all love. We have limited number of tables, with over half reserved already hence please book in advance to ensure you are not disappointed. Special thanks to the organising Committee co-chaired by Helen Gannon and Tanya McEnroe, with team members Linda Black, Frank Gannon, John Jacobs, Stephen Jacobs, Keith Lowe, Linda Lynch, Paul McEnroe, Antoinette Redmond, Niall Rynne, Marc Sheridan and Michael Whelan. In addition, thank you to KPMG who are once again one of our event sponsors. If you would like to become a sponsor, then please get in touch with Linda Black from the IRFU Charitable Trust on 01-6473866 or email: email@example.com. Thank you as well to Planit who will once again be running a tight ship on the night.
A Live Auction by Keith Lowe will take place with exclusive “money can’t buy” items including unique rugby prizes; as well as a Silent Auction and raffle prizes for every table. Thank you in advance to everyone who donates Auction Items and Prizes – we greatly appreciate your support. All funds raised will go to the IRFU Charitable Trust in helping to support the 35 seriously injured amateur rugby players and their families across the Island of Ireland. One of the seriously injured players, Mike Scott will join us on the night and we will also be showing a video highlighting the work the Trust does and how the rugby community comes together to support those who are injured and their families.
Again, thank you to everyone who has supported the Ireland’s Call Six Nations Ball over the years; and we hope to see familiar faces join us once again, as well as some new faces, for the 2023 Ball which we hope will be the best year yet!
