IRFU Charitable Trust Ball in association with the Vodafone Ireland Foundation

Announcing special guests from the world of Rugby – Linda Djougang, Ian McKinley and Sean O’Brien; who will be joining our MC Risteárd Cooper and our auctioneer for the Live Auction on the night, Henry Beeby from Goffs.

2022 saw the return of the annual IRFU Charitable Trust Ball, in association with the Vodafone Ireland Foundation.  We greatly appreciate the on-going support of Vodafone – a true rugby supporter!  For many of those who attended our last Ball in March 2022, they said it was their first real outing since the Ball in March 2020! – A week before the pandemic hit our shores.

This year’s Rugby Ball takes place Friday 10th March 2023, the weekend the Ireland rugby team take on Scotland in the 2023 Guinness Six Nations, and will be held for a third time in the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dawson Street.

The night will kick off with a drinks reception from 7pm, kindly sponsored by Diageo as well as our new sponsor Fallon & Byrne treating our guests to complimentary Guinness and Prosecco on arrival. The drinks reception is followed by a silver service dinner.  Like Vodafone, Diageo have been an ongoing supporter of the Trust – as well as rugby – and we are truly grateful.  A very special thank you to Fallon & Byrne for sponsoring the wine for the dinner this year as well as the Prosecco for the drinks reception.  Fallon & Byrne have been incredible supportive over the last while and in particular when Fallon & Byrne became the first ever sponsors of the Charitable Trust’s Christmas Hamper – which are always greatly received by all seriously injured rugby players as well as their families!

For this year’s Ball, a table of ten people costs €2,500 or if you would like to purchase single seats instead, the cost per seat is €250.  All funds raised on the night go to supporting our seriously injured rugby players.  Thank you once again to our loyal supporters who returned again in 2022 and a special welcome to those joining us for the first time – we hope to see you all again, and hopefully some new faces, in 2023. Your support is greatly appreciated by the Trust, our seriously injured players and their families.

We will have unique rugby prizes for our live auction as well as prizes from the world of music, sports and entertainment for our silent auction – make sure to register early to get your bid placed.  Our ever popular raffle will also take place on the night with at least one prize per table.  As always, we greatly appreciate the generosity of all of you who contribute to the prizes on the night including Vodafone, Leinster Rugby, Bank of Ireland and the IRFU to name a few.

Last year was an amazing night for everyone – have a look at the video from the last ball by clicking here which was filmed by our wonderful Video Partner, Get Broadcasting.

Finally we’d like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your ongoing support – our sponsors and contributors, our MCs and special guests, committee and volunteers, colleagues and all of you who have attended and will attend. Your support for those who have been seriously injured playing the game we all love is greatly, greatly appreciated.
