Thank you to our FRIENDS Ambassador, Tadhg Furlong

Tadhg took the time to have a Zoom call with the winner of the recent FRIENDS competition: Ed Kenny, his family and friends. Thank you Tadhg for your support and for taking the Zoom call which as you will read from Ed’s note below, went down and absolute treat.

“It was great to become a Friend of the IRFU Charitable Trust and I was delighted to win a Zoom call with Tadhg Furlong.  We had a great chat with Tadhg on the call. Tadhg gave us a brilliant insight into the life of a professional rugby player and he was very generous with his time.

Tadhg took time to talk to the kids on the call. The kids couldn’t believe they were talking to Tadhg Furlong and they have been telling all their friends about the call!

It was great to talk to Tadhg about playing games behind closed doors, the technical aspects of the scrum, highlights of his career to date and his future goals. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the call. It was incredible to chat to an Irish international player and a British & Irish Lion. We also discussed the great work of the IRFU Charitable Trust and the great benefit of supporting the IRFU Charitable Trust in these challenging times.”

Thank you also to our Partner GUINNESS for providing the Zoom Call Kits for Tadhg and our winners (the adults only of course!) to enjoy. The Guinness kits consisted of: Guinness draught cans and glasses, beer mats, Guinness chocolates and toffee. Perfect timing for the Guinness Six Nations!
