IRFU Charitable Trust – AON Lunch 2019
The IRFU Charitable Trust AON Lunch was held at the Ballsbridge Hotel on Friday 22nd November 2019. Many thanks to our sponsors AON and all those who supported the event in helping us raise much needed funds for the ongoing support of our seriously injured players.
We were delighted to welcome Katie Mullan, Ireland’s Women’s Hockey Captain to be interviewed by Niall Rynne and we wish her and the team the best of luck in the Tokyo Olympics! Niall Rynne also spoke with Michelle Claffey and Sean Cronin who gave everyone present some great insights into their life in rugby.
A very moving video was shown of the story of Paddy Greeves from Royal School Dungannon who was injured in South Africa in 2018. Please click on the below video link to watch Paddy’s journey “from catastrophe to triumph”.
Colin Barkley, our MC for the afternoon, raised lots of funds during the Auction. Thank you to everyone who helped with the Raffle and Auction prizes, including a night away for the England v Ireland 2020 Six Nations match in Twickenham and the Heineken Cup Final next year.
The Trinitones entertained everyone during the meal and at the end of the afternoon. The Trinitones rendition of The Auld Triangle left people calling for more!
A fantastic afternoon was enjoyed by all our guests and once again we would like to thank all those who attended and gave their support in creating a thoroughly entertaining and memorable occasion.
