The K Club – 2024 Leinster Golf Outing

We are delighted to announce that the 2024 IRFU Charitable Trust Leinster Golf Outing, kindly sponsored by our Golf Partner Pinergy, will be held at a new spectacular venue – The K Club on Friday 27th September 2024.

The K Club hosted the Horizon Irish Open in September 2023 and featured a world class line up including our own Ryder Cup heroes Shane Lowry and Rory McIlroy.  The K Club will also host the 2025 and 2027 Irish Opens.

The Charitable Trust Golf Outing will take place on The K Club’s second Arnold Palmer designed course, Palmer South, which hosted the Challenge Tour’s Irish Challenge in 2022 and will also host the Irish Challenge in 2024 and 2026.  We will once again have the popular shotgun start commencing at 1pm with lunch rolls and tea/coffee available from 12midday for all our teams; with registration commencing at 11:30am.  Make sure you reach your tee off hole before the 1pm siren!  For the 2024 Leinster Golf Outing, we will have a limited number of team slots – specifically 25 teams of four with only four teams remaining to be sold.

Following your round, you and your guests will be treated to a gourmet sit-down BBQ in the luxurious Legacy Suite in The K Club; as well as a Q&A with special guests to be announced from the world of rugby, including Josh van der Flier and Ryan Baird both who hope to join us on the day to play golf and be part of our Q&A (but will be dependent on the Leinster match that Friday evening).  In 2023 we had Grand Slam winning U20s Head Coach Richie Murphy as well as Irish rugby legends Shane Byrne and Liam Toland joined us for a Q&A.  Please note we will also have a limited number of guest tickets available to attend the post-golf dinner, enjoy the gourmet BBQ and chats, and experience the Q&A with our rugby stars.  Guest tickets are €100 per person, discounted to €80 for guests of players.  Everyone will also have the opportunity to partake in a Charity Raffle as well as a Charity Auction which will feature a limited number of unique prizes including an official Ireland Rugby jersey signed by the reigning Guinness Six Nations men’s senior squad … as well as some tickets for the upcoming November Internationals!

There will also be a Charity Raffle with great prizes including a €500 Aldi Voucher, Four-ball vouchers, away nights, luxury items and rugby merchandise.  Please make sure you partake in the Raffle and the Charity Auction before you tee off for your chance to win.  All proceeds from the Raffle and the Auction go directly towards supporting our 36 seriously injured rugby players and their families.  Thank you to everyone who has contributed and continues to contribute to the Raffle items and the Auction items, as well as the always very popular Goody Bags.  Your ongoing generosity is greatly appreciated.

The Charitable Trust would like to take this opportunity to once again thank our Golf Partner and Corporate Friend Pinergy for their continued support; and for also supplying the winning team prizes.  Last year’s winning team prizes were stylish TaylorMade Cart Bags and previous first team prizes have included TaylorMade Stealth Hybrid Drivers and TaylorMade Spider putters.  In addition there will be team prizes for 2nd and 3rd, prizes for the longest drives (ladies and gents) and prizes for nearest the Pinergy (front nine and back nine).  Tee Sponsorship is also available for anyone interested in getting their company name/brand out there; and you can secure one tee sign for €150 or three tee signs for €300.  Thank you as well to our media partner for the event – BusinessPlus.ie, who are part of our national media partner DMG Media.

Thank you to those teams who have booked already and as always, we welcome new teams who would like to join us for a great day out in support of seriously injured rugby players and their families.   The IRFU Charitable Trust Golf Outings always provide a great day for our guests, including our many Corporate supporters, and your commitment and kindness really means a lot to our seriously injured players including Brendan Glynn and his family as you will see in the video captured here.  We’ve also included a video from our Video Partner and Corporate Friend Get Broadcasting from our most recent Connacht Charity Golf Outing which took place in July this year – it is worth the watch.

Furthermore, the winner from this years’ Leinster Charity Golf Outing will join the winning Teams from the other three Provincial Charity Golf Outings at the IRFU Charitable Trust “Irish Rugby 150th Golf Cup” tournament which will take place Friday 6th June 2025 on The K Club’s Palmer North Championship course – only a few months before The K Club host the Irish Open!  Next year will be the first year of the 150th Golf Cup coinciding with Irish Rugby’s 150 years anniversary celebrations.  The 2025 Golf Cup will take place in Leinster and will then be hosted by a different province each year creating a bit more interprovincial competition!

Given the stunning setting of The K Club, and the added excitement of the 150th Cup next year, we expect a sell-out hence please book early to avoid disappointment by contacting Linda Black by email: linda.black@irfu.ie – the cost per four-ball is €1,000 which includes your four-ball team, gourmet BBQ in the Legacy Suite, drinks reception and Q&A with special guests.

Thank you for your support.
