IRFU Charitable Trust – Vodafone Rugby Ball 2022

It has been too long!

Our last Vodafone Rugby Ball took place on Friday 6th March 2020 – just before ‘lockdown’.  We are delighted to confirm that our next Ball will take place on Friday 11th March 2022. Given the great feedback from 2020, the Round Room at the Mansion House, Dawson Street will be the venue for 2022.

As always we will kick off the evening with a drinks reception from 7pm, kindly sponsored by Diageo, with our guests treated to complimentary drinks, including Guinness and Tanqueray Gin; followed by a silver service dinner. A table of ten people costs €2,200 or if you would like to purchase single seats instead, the cost per seat is €220.

Like all charities, the pandemic has had a severe impact on our ability to raise funds hence your support is greatly appreciated with all proceeds helping to support our seriously injured rugby players. For the 2022 Vodafone Rugby Ball we will once again have unique Auction items for guests to bid on the night, as well as a Silent Auction and great Raffle Prizes.

Special guests are yet to be announced so please check back for updates. The 2019 Ball was a great success and featured rugby greats Niamh Briggs, Rory Best and Jack Conan – interviewed by Máire Treasa Ni Cheallaigh. As well as a surprise appearance by the Henshaw family trad band, including Robbie, his dad Tony, sister Ali and Jim who were brilliant – check out the video below. The very popular Alan Shortt hosted the evening and The Controversial All Stars ended the night on a high. We also had a fun photo booth from the Vintage Photo Company – check out the photos from the last ball by clicking here.

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2020 Ball; and we hope to see you and many new faces at the 2022 Ball. All COVID-19 guidelines will be adhered to ensuring the safety of all staff, volunteers and guests on the night.
