The IRFU Charitable Trust Lunch, kindly sponsored AON, will take place on Friday 12th November 2021 at the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge. Due to the pandemic, we were unfortunately unable to have the AON Lunch last year but with the easing of restrictions and a highly successful vaccination plan we will have a fixed number of 120 guests at this years Lunch. Given the limited number of guests, please book your table of 10 early to ensure you are not disappointed as we cannot go over 120 guests.
As you are all aware, charities have been severely hit by the pandemic. The Lunch is therefore even more this year to ensure we raise much needed funds to help support our seriously injured players. The Lunch kicks off with a drinks reception at 1pm, kindly sponsored by Guinness, followed by lunch at 2pm. We have kept the price of a table for ten people the same at €1,250.
The AON Lunch will take place the Friday before a very much anticipated Ireland v New Zealand match on Saturday 13th November in the Aviva Stadium. Previously, Ireland will have played the USA on Sat 30th Oct in Las Vegas, followed by Japan at home on Sat 6th November with the final match in the Autumn Series taking place on Sun 21st Nov against Argentina.
At our last AON Lunch (back in 2019!), Niall Rynne interviewed Ireland Hockey Captain Katie Mullins; as well as Rugby Greats Michelle Claffey and Sean Cronin. Special guests for this year will be announced in due course. Have a look at the video adjacent from the 2019 Lunch.
As mentioned, the Lunch is a very important event for helping to support our seriously injured players but we will continue to monitor COVID-19 and follow the proper advice and guidelines to ensure safety is our first priority for all.
