IRFU Charitable Trust 2023 Leinster Golf Outing

Announcing U20s Grand Slam winning head coach Richie Murphy will be our very special guest for our Leinster Golf Outing on Friday 19th May 2023 on the East Course in Powerscourt Golf Club.  Members or Richie’s U20s Grand Slam winning team will be joining Richie on the day.  Kindly sponsored by  Pinergy, this year we are reverting back to the popular shotgun start at 12midday with registration commencing from 10am.  A breakfast roll and tea/coffee will be served from 10am before tee off but please ensure to be there early so you can reach your designated tee box before the 12midday siren!  Following your round, you and your guests will be treated to a gourmet BBQ as well as a Q&A with Richie and members of his U20s team as they talk about their record breaking two-in-a-row Grand Slams – this year coming the day after the seniors secured their Grand Slam on Irish soil for the first time and on St. Patrick’s weekend as well!

The Charitable Trust would like to take this opportunity to once again thank our sponsors Pinergy for their on-going support as well as supplying the winning team prizes.  Last year’s winning team prizes were TaylorMade Stealth Hybrid Drivers, and the previous first team prizes were TaylorMade Spider Putters.  We can’t wait to see what winning team prizes are to play for this outing!  In addition there will be team prizes for 2nd and 3rd, a prize for the longest drive and a prize for nearest the Pinergy.  The cost for a team of 4 to join the May Leinster Golf Outing is €800.

To book your team, please contact Linda by email: linda.black@irfu.ie.

There will also be a raffle for great prizes which have included hotels breaks, rugby merchandise and luxury items – please make sure you partake in the raffle before you tee off for your chance to win as all proceeds from the raffle go towards supporting our 35 seriously injured amateur rugby players and their families.  Thank you to everyone who has contributed and donated to the raffle – as always your generosity is greatly appreciated.  In addition, thank you to those who contribute towards the Goody Bag on the day – always a firm favourite amongst our loyal golfing supporters.  And this year, for the very first time, we will be running a Silent Auction at the Golf event where only those in attendance will have the opportunity to get their hands on unique Irish Rugby merchandise … including a signed Ireland Rugby jersey from this years Grand Slam winning team!

Finally, thank you to those teams who have booked already and as always, we welcome new teams who would like to join us for a great day out in support of those who have been seriously injured playing the game of rugby.
