IRFU Charitable Trust 45th Anniversary Aon Lunch 2023

Since 1978 the IRFU Charitable Trust has supported those who have been seriously injured playing the game we all love.  The Aon Lunch this year coincides with our 45th year and to mark the occasion, our seriously injured players and their families will join us on Friday 17th November in the stunning InterContinental Hotel Dublin.

Our deepest thanks to Aon for their ongoing support – without Aon’s commitment and compassion, the lunch would not be possible and the event remains one of our key events and fundraisers every year.  For the first time, we will be holding the lunch in the beautiful InterContinental Hotel in Ballsbridge – always a favourite amongst rugby fans.

This year’s lunch will follow, what we hope, is a great Rugby World Cup campaign for Irish Rugby – continuing their success since winning the series in New Zealand, defeating current world champions South Africa last November and winning the Grand Slam on St Patrick’s weekend this year!

The event as always will kick off with a drinks reception at 12midday, kindly sponsored by our drinks partner Guinness, following by silver service lunch at 1pm.  Some of you may recall our 40th anniversary lunch with legend Ollie Campbell giving a very special and touching speech about all our seriously injured players and their families.  We also had very special guests that commemorative year including Robbie Henshaw and Sonny Bill Williams, Tommy Bowe and Doug Howlett – legends all.  You can relive that wonderful day by clicking here.

We expect this to be our biggest lunch ever with more very special guests from the world of rugby in attendance as well as our seriously injured players and their families.  To ensure you secure your table, please contact Linda Black on 01 647 3866 or email charitabletrust@irfu.ie.  The early bird offer for a table of ten people is €1,500 if you book and pay before the end of May 2023.  Thank you again for your ongoing support of our seriously injured rugby players.
