IRFU Charitable Trust Aon Lunch – SOLD OUT
Thank you to all our supporters for booking your tables – looking forward to seeing you all at the lunch. The Aon Lunch is now sold out. Sorry to those of you who were unable to book a table at the lunch but please remember we have our Vodafone Rugby Ball in March 2022.
This years lunch will take place on Friday 12th November 2021 at the Clayton Hotel Ballsbridge and kicks off with a drinks reception at 1pm, followed by lunch at 2pm. Due to the pandemic, we were unfortunately unable to have the Aon Lunch last year but with the easing of restrictions and a highly successful vaccination plan we will have a fixed number of 140 guests at this years lunch. As you are all aware, charities have been severely hit by the pandemic. The lunch is therefore even more important this year to ensure we raise much needed funds to help support our seriously injured players.
The lunch will take place the Friday before the always hugely anticipated Ireland v New Zealand match on Saturday 13th November in the Aviva Stadium. Previously, Ireland will have played Japan on Sat 6th November, with the final match in the Autumn Series taking place on Sun 21st Nov against Argentina.
At our last Aon Lunch (back in 2019!), Niall Rynne interviewed rugby greats Michelle Claffey and Sean Cronin; as well as Ireland Hockey Captain Katie Mullins (and how well have Ireland’s hockey team continued to perform since then!). The MC for this year is television presenter and journalist Adrian Logan with our lunch favourite the Trinitones performing on the day. Nigel Osbourne – the man who spearheaded the recent ‘24 Hour Row World Record‘ – will also be joining us with special guests from the world of rugby.
The lunch is a very important event for helping us raise funds to support our seriously injured players but we will continue to monitor COVID-19 and follow the proper advice and guidelines to ensure safety is our first priority for all.
